The Carr-Villa trailhead is located at the Carr-Villa Hut off Ben Lomond Rd. It is approximately one hour east of Launceston, and 3 hours north of Hobart. The most challenging part of the spectacular road is a series of 6 hairpin turns known as Jacob's Ladder. A lookout platform has been built at the top of the ladder providing superb views.
